Markus took his first photograph at the age of 6, it was of a neighbor with a small plastic camera that fit into the front of a James Bond spy briefcase... "I remember that it was a pretty good photograph... It was blurry and surreal." Markus' early influences in photography were National Geographic and Life magazines, all the photos his father took as a hobby and his parent's wedding album.
In high school Markus won raves for his photography after volunteering to photograph a class sponsored trip to Europe... "I hadn't even thought about the pictures... I just shot away... just looking for what was interesting to me".
His fascination for photography has always been present in what Markus has done in his life... but he never took his talents seriously until about ten years ago... when he knew he wanted to set up a studio. For the past seven years he has found that he loves using his creative talents to capture the many beautiful images of weddings. "I love what I get to do for a living... and the very best part of doing this work for me is when a couple gets to see their photographs for the first time... being a part of those moments is so touching."
